How it all evolved . . .

We date back to 1938 when Maurice Waldorf opened the business on the Tamiami Trail in Miami.  His sons, Larry and Richard, took over the business in 1971 while managing through numerous domestic and international changes in architectural prominence of wall and floor surfaces.  Tamiami Tile was recently sold to Jason Bundy in January of 2020, and still today, as back in those days, we represent the finest of factories, producing the highest quality we can find.

Today's acceptance of tile and marble throughout the home and business is allowing elasticity of design and encouraging manufacturers to experiment with innovative and diverse products.  Tamiami Tile is constantly on the pursuit to bring to our market these products for incorporation into client projects.

Longevity within the staff tells part of the story.  The personel average 18 years in their respective positions at Tamiami Tile, well beyond most in the construction and design trade.  Flexibility and adaptability to clients' needs makes Tamiami Tile an industry leader in service and customer performance.  Many of our clients have enjoyed the relationship for decades while many others are still getting to know us.  Today, we maintain a high visibility retail showroom, open to the public, as well as for the upgrade selections for many of the builders and remodelers of custom prestigious homes nationwide.  We pride ourselves in staying small, giving good service and supplying great quality materials at fair market pricing.
